The Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) Ombudsman Marielle Cohen-Branche presented her 2022 annual report, revealing a record number of cases processed and recommendations issued.
The Ombudsman’s Office received 1,900 cases, processed 2,089 cases, and issued 1,014 recommendations, with 54% of the proposals favorable to applicants. The backlog of cases decreased by 35% by the end of 2022. The Ombudsman’s Online Diary increased by 25%, with over 12,400 visits per month on average. The Ombudsman also addressed complaints related to employee savings schemes, stock exchange orders, and crypto-asset markets.
